Holmes expects tough squad calls

Salisbury boss Nick Holmes says he has some difficult decisions to make over new signings following his team's 2-0 friendly win over Swindon on Wednesday.

Djoumin Sangare and Jamal Easter, who were amongst a number of trialists to play for the Whites, were on target and Holmes admitted he was impressed.

"I'd take them all because we'd have a very strong squad and a decent chance of making the play-offs," he said.

"Unfortunately, I don't think the money will allow us to do that."

He added to BBC Radio Wiltshire: "It might mean that I might only be allowed to take one.

"I'll have a meeting with my chairman to see exactly what I'm allowed to do and take it from there."
