"He met them [the team] at 1630hrs for a pre-match meal.
"He finished up rooming with someone he didn't even know, had a quick shower and came to the game.
"He needs games, it benefits us and he's fitted in very well."
Anderson said playing for a team with confidence helped him: "The team has been doing well and that makes it easier to fit in.
"My first thought was it would be good to get back playing games and anything after that I would take as it comes.
"I was frustrated kicking my heels [at Sunderland], but that's the way football works out sometimes.
"I've been given the opportunity here and hopefully I can make the most of it."
