Macclesfield Town have announced their former director Jeremy Turner is to return to the board.

Turner is a lifelong Town fan and was an active board member when the Silkmen entered the Football League in 1997.

A successful local businessman, Turner has previously worked closely with chairman Mike Rance.

"I'm hoping to establish an effective team and I know Jeremy will be able to make a real contribution," Rance told the club website.
