Livingston sign midfielder Cuenca

Livingston have made French midfielder Jean-Jose Cuenca their first signing of the summer.

Cuenca, who has signed a three-year deal, is a former Lyon youth player and spent last season with Angouleme.

The 22-year-old completed his deal hours after Livi had their transfer ban lifted by the Scottish Football League.

Spokesman Tomasso Angelini told the club website: "We have high hopes that he will will make an impact in the First Division next season."

And Angelini expects many more deals to be concluded by the First Division club over the next few weeks.

"Jean-Jose is the first of many signings we will make before the season gets underway," he added.

"With the transfer embargo now lifted, we are finally in a position to build our squad and add to the small group of talented players we already have at Livingston."
