George Abbey and Michael O'Connor have agreed new contracts with Crewe, tieing them to the club until 2010.

Defender Abbey, 29, has signed a new two-year deal, while midfielder O'Connor, 20, has signed a one-year extension to his current contract.

"I'm delighted to have signed," Abbey told BBC Radio Stoke. "It was in the manager's hands because I always said I wanted to stay here."

The Alex need a point against Oldham on Saturday to be safe from relegation.
