He joined the club in the summer of 2006 following spells at Newcastle United, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil Town, and had a seven-game loan spell at League Two side Darlington last season before an unsuccessful trial at Canadian side Toronto FC.
The former Wales Under-21 international has indicated he would like to stay and force his way back into favour at Brunton Park.
"I don't want to leave Carlisle and I have never asked to leave," Gall said.
"If I got the chance to prove I can play for Carlisle, that would be great. I like challenges like that.
"The gaffer has told me I can go on a free and I have to look at my options. But he also said that if I go and talk to other people and it doesn't work out, Im entitled to come back and fight for my place in the team."
