Trollope urges patience over move

Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope says their supporters will not have to wait much longer to find out where they will be playing next season.

"There's been a lot of conjecture about it and a lot of false dawns," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"To be honest, it's such a long-term thing and it's going to be a little transition period that we've got to go through to be able to get there."

"The stadium will be there for 75 to 100 years, it's going to be fantastic."

Rovers announced on Wednesday that work on rebuilding the Memorial Stadium will be delayed so that two high profile pre-season friendlies can be played.

An announcement confirming which ground they will be sharing, once the work starts, could be announced at their AGM on Monday.

Trollope is hopeful that the Pirates' support will follow them wherever they go.

"We've got to make sure that when we're away from the Mem, we continue to progress," he said.

"Wherever we go, we need the fans to turn up and watch it, we need our support base and we need an income that's going to support that process.

"That's the aim and we're confident of doing it."
