Fletcher to take time on offers
Former Bournemouth club captain Steve Fletcher says he will not be rushing to accept offers that have been made.

The 34-year-old was released by the Cherries this month after 15 years at Dean Court, and stated his desire to continue his playing career.

Fletcher told BBC Radio Solent: "I've had a few offers from league clubs, some very good offers in fact.

"Some are far afield, some are closer to home in Bournemouth. I'm just reviewing them."

He added: "It's great to have league clubs interested, but I don't want to jump in straight away two-footed and maybe regret the decision, so I'm just holding fire at the moment.

"Some people I've spoken to have said to wait until pre-season starts and more clubs will come in."

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are continuing negotiations with defenders Warren Cummings, Neil Young and Steve Purches, who are considering contract offers.
