Antrim hurling star Liam Watson has switched codes by joining Donegal Celtic in a one-year deal.

The Loughgiel man was offered the contract after impressing in two recent Donegal Celtic friendlies.

Watson, who was also linked with Limavady United and Portadown, is set to play in Wednesday night's friendly against a Celtic XI at Suffolk Road.

Watson was dropped from the Antrim hurling squad last month after missing a number of training sessions.
