"He's very impressed with the structure we have here," the Jersey Cricket Board's Chris Minty told BBC Radio Jersey.
"He's also very impressed with the way the players applied themselves to a task and then subsequently achieved that task in the Division Five tournament."
Minty says the game with Guernsey is part of the island side's preparations for the European event, which Jersey reached the final of two years ago in Scotland.
"He's here for two weeks and then takes us through to the European tournament, by which time he'll have done a lot of work with the guys," Minty said.
Minty also confirmed that Kirsten will coach the island side at the World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Tanzania in October.
