Bernard Hopkins is hoping to meet with Joe Calzaghe's camp to start talks about another cross-Atlantic super-fight in 2008.

The former middleweight king, now campaigning at light-heavyweight at the age of 42, has urged Calzaghe to be true to his word and fight in America.

He told BBC Sport: "If he's willing to come here, we can get the ball rolling.

"The man went on national TV and said: 'Bernard don't have to come over to the UK, I'll fight him in his backyard'."

Hopkins was speaking ahead of Ricky Hatton's fight against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.

With Calzaghe also in Nevada supporting Hatton, Hopkins hopes arrangements can be made.
