In the men's team pursuit final, Britain raced around the track in three minutes 56.318 seconds to beat Denmark and smash the world record set by Australia at the 2004 Olympics.
Wiggins, who's hoping to win his third gold medal later in the week, said: "We've been preparing together since January and it's always been about us performing to the best of our ability.
"That's what gets us across the line first, we don't worry about the other teams."
