Presenter Zoe Ball was narrowly missed by a car which hit her cameraman as he filmed her near her home, her husband has said.

DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, said the accident took place at about 1230 BST near their seafront property in Western Esplanade, Hove, East Sussex.

He said she was "totally okay", if a little shaken up and the cameraman was treated for cuts and grazes.

Mr Cook said: "Zoe is totally okay, she is a little bit shaken but she is definitely not injured.

"She was filming a promo for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) at the end of our road. A woman came out of a parking space and appeared to lose control and careered into Zoe's cameraman.

"She was missed by inches. It could have been carnage but thankfully no-one was badly hurt."

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "An old lady driving a car clipped a cameraman as he was filming Zoe Ball.

"He got cuts and bruises, was treated at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment."
