Two cases of scarlet fever have been confirmed at a primary school in Kent.
Kent County Council said the cases at Willesborough Primary School near Ashford came to light after the Easter bank holiday.
The Health and Safety Executive was informed, along with Kent Health Protection Unit, which sent letters advising parents to watch for symptoms.
Scarlet fever is caused by a bacterial infection, treated by antibiotics, that causes a sore throat and a red rash.
Other symptoms include a headache, fever, vomiting and swollen neck glands
It is most common among children between the ages of six and 12.
Parents have been told to contact their GPs with any concerns.
